Doctor Fissha
(pronounced FISS-ha) has been practicing medicine since 1998. He hails from Ethiopia where he completed his medical school.
Fissha is board certified in internal medicine, cardiology, interventional cardiology, and nuclear cardiology. He completed his internal medicine residency at the Johns Hopkins University/Sinai program in Baltimore where he received the highest preforming resident award.
He then joined the Medical College of Georgia for a cardiology fellowship. Fissha under went further training in interventional cardiology and peripheral vascular interventions at Newark Beth Israel Medical Center, a premier institution for cardiovascular care including heart and lung transplantation in the state of New Jersey.
Fissha is a member of the Society for Cardiovascular Angiography and Interventions, American Heart Association, American College of Cardiology, American Federation for Medical Research, and the American College of Physicians.

Experience
Dr. Fissha has been serving Kansas since 2011. In 2013 he was recruited by Newman Regional Health, Emporia KS to establish a brand new comprehensive cardiology service for the community.
The service became extremely successful and saved several lives from heart attack (click on Steve, Jason), and several legs from amputation (click on Jerry).
